Russell L. Adey
Jan 22,1960-March 18,2009
Russell L. Adey was born on 1/22/60. Our beloved son, brother, friend. Left us on Wednesday March 18, 2009, to the arms of our
heavenly father.

Russ Adey, a civilian member serving aboard the Battlestar Hyperion has passed away, following a brief battle with spinal
meningitis.  Russ had served diligently for just under a year, and was someone that I would consider a friend.  He was always
willing to stand up and help out whenever asked.

In addition to being a member of my crew, and the CDF, Russ was also involved in many aspects of the fandom world, including
being a member of the Klingon Costuming group.  I am including some kind words relayed from our Chief Engineer Steven
Greenfield.












I met Russ about a year ago at Norwescon 31 and found him to be a very light hearted and kind person.  With this years
Norwescon just passed, I can honestly say that there was a void at the Convention without him there.  Russ will be greatly missed.

"I was just informed that a longtime member of the T'Mar and a good friend of mine, Russ Adey, aka
Ambassador K'Russ, has just shuffled off this mortal coil.  K'Russ was one of the founding members of the
IKV T'Mar and a long time costumer and propmaker who has been an active part in many clubs. He was very
artistic, many of you undoubtedly are wearing his medals on your uniforms or have one of his blades.
Eugene Roddenberry was presented with one of K'Russ's medals several years ago at Rustycon. He was
talented and intelligent and kind, and the world is a little smaller now."
